Your choices
iOS: The app shows the system tracking permission dialog after launch, and Pangle does not start until you answer it. If you ask the app not to track, the advertising ID is not used and ads are not personalized. You can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or in the app under the gear icon > Ad settings.
Android: On first launch the app asks whether ads may be personalized, and Pangle does not start until you answer. You will still see ads if you choose Don't allow, but they will not be personalized. You can change this under the gear icon > Ad settings. Your choice stays on your device and is excluded from backups and device transfers, so a new device asks again. You can also delete your advertising ID in the Android settings.
All features of the app work whichever you choose.
Retention and international transfer
Information stored on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app. The developer keeps no information, so there is no data for it to delete. Information collected for advertising is handled under Pangle's policies and may be processed on servers outside Japan.
